NetSkate CpMonitor is a powerful and flexible network traffic monitoring system. It is offered either as a software package or as a software component of Cyber Solution's traffic monitoring appliance, NetSkate CpMonitor SMART

CpMonitor watches individual packets in the network traffic, classifies them with respect to various aspects of interest, such as protocol, application, source/destination addresses, etc, and generates cumulative, delta and peak count values.

CpMonitor can be used in three ways:

1. Through its standard SNMP service capability, data obtained by CpMonitor can be monitored in real time by a network management system such as MRTG, for example, or Cyber Solution's network management application, NetSkate Visualizer. The power of CpMonitor will be best exploited when it is used in conjunction with an intrusion detection/alert system e.g. Cyber Solution's NetSkate Koban 4.
2. CpMonitor software package includes CpArchiver that manages disk storage of data acquired by the CpMonitor core system and also NetSkate NetGrapher that offers web based graphical/online display. By activating these services, CpMonitor may be used as a stand-alone for the monitoring of your network traffic.
3. In off-line mode, CpMonitor can read and analyze data collected by tcpdump and generate taraffic statistics equivalent to that obtained in the real-time operation.
